When it's everybody's job, it's nobody's job.

As a leader, it's easy to fall into the trap of expecting certain responsibilities, tasks or deliverables to be carried out by everybody. But when it's everybody's job, it becomes nobody's responsibility. Assigning ownership not only creates accountability, but it empowers people to take on new responsibilities and grow.
