I wrote a book. Now I have no idea what to do next.

A couple of weeks ago, I finally said out loud that I was going to write a book. 🫣📙

The truth is, I had already started, I just hadn’t found the courage to share it publicly yet.

Since then, I’ve finished the outline. I’ve written the first draft of all the chapters. It’s messy, it needs a lot of revision, but it exists.

And I’ve created a full book proposal. The proposal includes an overview, my bio, my platform and reach, a marketing and promotion plan, comparable titles, a table of contents, and two sample chapters.

But now… I’m stuck.

I honestly have no idea what the next steps are beyond reviewing and editing what I wrote so far.

Do I keep going and self-publish?

Do I reach out to publishers directly?

Do I need to find an agent first?

And if so… how do I do that?

How do you self-publish?

How do you find a good agent?

Where do you even begin?

I’ve spent hours in internet rabbit holes and YouTube deep dives, and I’m more confused than when I started.

So I’m turning to this community.

If you’ve been through this or know someone who has, I’d love any advice, tips, or direction you’re willing to share.

Thank you in advance. I really mean it.
